How is wheel alignment different from suspension alignment?
Wheel alignment is the measurement and adjustment of wheel angles on a car whose parts are sound. The suspension alignment page covers cars with worn shocks, bushes or arms, where parts are replaced first and the alignment is the last step.
Is alignment the same as wheel balancing?
No. Alignment corrects the angles of the wheels so the car tracks straight and the tyres wear evenly. Balancing corrects the weight around each wheel and cures vibration at speed, usually felt through the steering wheel. Describe the symptom and the right job is booked.
How often should alignment be checked?
